Until 2016, I worked as a freelance designer in the corporate industry (graphic design, marketing, toys and video games), working under various artistic pseudonyms. Enrolling on a philosophy programme for the sake of learning eventually steered my career towards becoming a professional philosopher at a public university. The essential shift was prompted by my encounter with the concept of integrative bioethics. This concept connected my thinking framework and research interest with an existing multiplatform project originating in Croatia in joint development with universities from Germany, and I saw the potential for making long-term changes to create a better world. I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb (Republic of Croatia). Within the political context of academia, I advocate open science, public funding, strengthening of national scientific integrity, equality for all, and international cooperation.
